Mobile Metrix connects the uncounted poor with companies and nonprofits that can meet their needs

Business Model
Mobile Metrix Business Model

Our social enterprise is contracted by private companies, foundations, NGOs, governments and international organizations who target the "base of the pyramid" — the nearly 3 billion people who live on less than $2 per day.

As a marketing partner for companies and governments, Mobile Metrix gathers data to tailor products to low-income consumers and build distribution networks.  We use the information we gather to help consumers get services and products they need, and to help companies successfully navigate this “emerging” market.

Our data collection process is fast, accurate, secure and cost-efficient.

Using handheld computers, Mobile Metrix collects data on a variety of issues including employment, job skills, health conditions, education levels, finances, land and housing. We select outstanding young adults (averaging 16-24 years) to be data collectors in their own communities. We extensively train these youth (our MobileAgents™) in survey techniques, technology and professionalism to ensure the utmost data quality.

This information helps identify the most pressing community needs.  Armed with information that captures their realities, Mobile Metrix connects community organizers with NGOs, governments and private enterprises to more effectively secure resources to meet real needs.  Given their ease-of-access, MobileAgents™ also market and distribute critical products and services within their hard-to-reach communities.  This bridges the gap between invisible communities and available resources.

Local community organizers can now hatch more effective solutions and better advocate for themselves.
